A Message To Our Clients

A Message To Our Clients

Dear Clients,

As a valued member of our Associates for Applied Psychology patient community, we appreciate the trust you place in us and want to inform you about how we are addressing the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Please know that our office is following all recommended guidance from public health authorities, including best practices for hygiene, infection control and medical professional team health. Our highest priority is to keep all of our patients and staff as safe as possible.

Throughout the last several weeks of shelter in place orders, you may have continued to meet with your clinician through telehealth services instead of attending sessions in the office. As the community begins to re-open, we anticipate many clients returning to the office. In consideration of the ongoing pandemic, we are implementing practices to improve safety at AAP and ask that you note following changes.
Prior to your in-person sessions, please consider the following questions:
  • Have you traveled to a COVID-19 affected geographic area within 14 days of symptom onset? (China, Iran, S. Korea, Europe, cruise ship or any high risk sites in U.S.)
  • Have you had close contact with a person who traveled to high risk sites or has COVID-19?
  • Do you have fever and respiratory symptoms such as cough or shortness of breath?
Should you answer yes to any of these questions, please call the office at (979) 268-1111 for a telephone assessment so that we do not expose other patients and staff. If you do arrive at the office exhibiting any symptoms, you will be asked to return to your car and call the office to discuss options for meeting with your therapist.
When you arrive at the office for your session, please remain in your car and call or text 979-220-2280 with your first name to check in. If your therapist’s office is at the rear of the building, you may park there and text the location as well as your arrival. Your therapist will greet you from the door (front or back as indicated) at the time of your session.

When you do enter the building, please wear a mask in all public areas of the office including the waiting area, hallway and restrooms. A limited supply of masks will be available at the reception area if you are unable to provide your own.

Please avail yourself of the available hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the building. Also, please note that our water fountain is unavailable.

You will be asked to sign an additional consent form indicating your understanding of these protocols, the risk of exposure to the coronavirus and your agreement to proceed with in-person care.

If you have any questions about this notice or your upcoming appointment, please call the front office.

Thank you for your continued trust and loyalty as we work together to fight this virus.

Sincerely,
Associates for Applied Psychology
